October 15 & 22, 2021

Decided to group these two weeks together and make for a mega drop. To the music!

  • Right at the top I had to go with one of my favorites over the past year, Gilligan Moss. They dropped a deluxe version of their standout self-titled album that features this new one in addition to a host of remixes, covers, and edits.

  • There was actually a host of new albums and extended works that dropped over the past couple weeks. I included a track from a handful that I was looking forward to: Disclosure's DJ Kicks compilation, Sonny Fodera's lastest house-centric LP, a masterful work from Ross from Friends, and of course, Rufus Du Sol's 11-track return, Surrender.

  • Fred again.. keeps the (incredibly) hot streak alive with his new single "Hanna (The Sun)" - arguably my favorite one from the UK-based producer since "Deep Diving".

  • I was a fan of Qrion's single "Your Love" from a couple of weeks back but this new one "Proud" is an absolute tune.

  • Another one of my favorite finds over the past year, Matveï dropped a remix pack for his SEASONS Ep and the NIGHTFALL edition of "OVERDOSE" is a refreshing take on the og.

  • Working the way through a little house section, things take a darker turn with new ones from TEED and rising mystery producer Godford

  • A gem of a find, Logic1000 released a new one drenched in a comfy low end that deserves a proper subwoofer.

  • There's a tremendous amount of good music in here. Just to list a few that really stuck to the ears: of the deeper cuts, Lubelski, Claude VonStoke, and Life on Planets team up on a wonky late night tune, "Ice Cream Cone. Maxinne dropped a dark, techy jam that would feel right at home for some peak time Hot Since 82. There's some Anjuna stuff from the likes of the legend Lane 8 and newcomer Juno Mamba. I'd be remiss not to mention the super collab between SHM and The Weeknd.  There's a little indie section with new ones from Fiji Blue, Weval, and Mount Kimbie.

  • I'll leave you with one more:

I could keep going but it was a super quality two weeks of new tunes. Looking forward to what the rest of the year has in store.

October 8, 2021

It's been a minute since I've updated this, but I'm back with a tasty selection of new tunes. Let's get to it.

  • First up, we've got a new one from Mindchatter with "Answer Me". This is his second single of 2021, and his first one since a run of headline gigs.

  • Some other highlight tracks at the top: Elderbrook dropped his Innerlight EP and while the lead was "Broken Mirror", I'm really feeling his collab with Louis The Child on "Dominoes". Another pair of tracks from new extended projects come from James Blake who dropped his latest album Friends That Break Your Heart and Dillon Francis who released Happy Machine. I included a track from each of these albums, and while they are quite different any fan of dance music should give both a listen. Bonobo is back with a new single title "Rosewood", Tchami and Habstrakt team up on "Eternity", and Sofi Tukker take on a classic with their remix of "Sinnerman".

  • Chris Lorenzo brings it with a high-energy house rendition of "California Dreamin".

  • A couple of break-y , UK garage style records come from PinkPantheress on "I must apologise" and a heavy hitter from rising DJ ABSOLUTE on "U4IA".

  • One of my favorite finds recently is Sad Night Dynamite who drop absolutely filthy tracks. Somewhat genre-agnostic, their music lives between left-of-center dance and hip-hop, but they have an undeniable groove and swagger to their sound. Their latest one "Demon" caught me a little by surprise, but it's grown on me quite a bit and like the rest of their music, I keep coming back to it.

  • Some other standouts towards the bottom - I'm digging the latest from Shiba San who released his latest EP, Drop That Shhh, and the legend behind the decks James Hype whose new one "Dancing" takes on a darker tone than most of his other work, and I'm here for it.
