What's up people.  Happy Memorial Day weekend y'all.  Let's jump to the new music.  Only 18 new tracks this week, but they're all pretty quality.  The top is some house and disco with things picking up as the playlist progresses, and a few proper electronic joints to close it out.

  • Young guns Ship Wrek are back with another new original, 'Energy'.  This one is not quite as ferocious as their other tracks, but its a viber nonetheless.

  • Threw in a couple of new Jax Jones tracks.  His remix of Mark Ronson's 'Late Night Feeling' is a heater.

  • Curt Reynolds continues to release quality house music, this time laying down some latin flare on 'Estréreo'.

  • I threw a couple of new ones in from Red Axes who routinely release really fresh sounding tunes.  These two come from their latest Trip project, for which they travel the world and create music inspired by the locations they visit.  This one is from their travels to Vietnam, and you will certainly hear the eastern influences.  For more info and some visual accompaniments check this out.

  • I'm always excited for new Chris Lake, and he does not disappoint on his latest original 'Stay With Me'.  This one is heavier on the vocals than he typically goes, but it bumps like hell.

  • Shouts to my boys Joe and Codeko on his latest remix of Oliver Heldens smash 'This Groove'.

  • The queen Nora En Pure who dropped yet another track rich with her vibrant, warm productions.

This might be one of my favorite drops to date.  Top to bottom, this week is quality 🔥🔥🔥.  The first 29 tracks are all new.

The playlist starts with some vibey tunes and disco flare, through a few tracks off Justin Jay's new album (which is worth a listen).  Things get a bit darker with a new Devault remix and a couple of experimental tracks from Kilter before a bit of tech house that moves back to house vibes of various flavors.  DJ Tennis brings us into some spacey sounds before a really funky section of jazz-inspired tunes straight from the French underground brought to you by S3A.  All in all, this playlist should be a real crowd pleaser.  Hope you all dig it as much as I do!  Let's get to it.

  • I had to kick things off with a new remix from Just Kiddin of one the best releases of 2019, Cassian's 'Same Things' ft. Gab Current.  Just Kiddin really bring it on this remix while staying true to the OG vibe.
  • Disciples get funky on their latest single 'No Ties'.
  • Justin Jay released what appears to be the first part of an album series, with everything will come together pt1.  I’ve really enjoyed Justin’s work of late, and this album features some previously released tracks as well as some brand new material.  ‘she’s afraid to choose’ featuring the California Honeydrops is incredibly groovy.  ‘Who’s to blame’ is another slapper drenched in JJ’s signature sound.  I can’t wait to see this live!  He still threw down one of my favorite shows I ever saw on the Output Roof (RIP).
  • Devault is back with another remix hot on the heels of his audiovisual project, Jade.  This time he remixes Daya’s ‘Insomnia’, giving it his signature flare.
  • My man Kilter is back with a 2 track EP on one of my favorite imprints from down under, etcetc.  Both ‘Tmper’ and ‘One In Hand’ are heavy on the experimental electronic vibes that Flume began to popularize on his latest mixtape.  Dig both of these and hope they are part of a bigger project from Kilter.
  • Dombresky takes LSD's 'No New Friends' to a dancefloor ready tech-house heater.  Sonny Fodera dropped a new original, 'Back This Groove Up' that's also sure to get the dancefloor movin.  Other highlights in this house-y section are a new take on the classic 'This Is How We Do It' from Fresh Mode and Montell Jordan, Weiss with a remix of 'Piece Of Your Heart', and new originals from Todd Terry, Leftwing & Kody (who bring some properrrr heavy sounds), and Denney.
  • DJ Tennis, Nora Van Elken, and Oona Dahl provide a spacey, ethereal little interlude to the last handful of tracks.
  • I included a few tracks from S3A’s new album, Pages.  Straight from the French Underground, S3A (otherwise known as Max Fader) really crushes the soul and funk on this one.  It's the kind of album you can throw on Sunday morning to start your day right, or play at the Friday night afters to keep the party going.  The album ranges from aspects of Deep House to more classical elements of Disco and Jazz, and many tracks have live improvisations played on top of them.  Great work all around!

Have a stellar weekend everyone.  Hope this playlist kicks it off right!

Was traveling over the weekend, so a little late here.  Ma bad.  Gona keep this a bit shorter than usual.  Heads up, this weekend was heavy on the tech upfront.  Things get a bit deeper, then on to some more light-hearted vibey stuff for the last few tracks.  To the music we go.

  • FINALLY.  After a monster breakout year built on the success of his party anthem 'Losing It', everyone's favorite DJ from down under is back!  FISHER makes his return with 'You Little Beauty', a track that he's been teasing for months now.  It's trademark Fish, and it's crushing it so far on Spotify with nearly 1M streams since Friday.
  • MK hits a poppier note on 'Body 2 Body'.
  • Purveyor of furious low-end sound Kyle Watson is back with a new EP.  'Landmine' is right in line with his signature sound that continues to set his productions apart.
  • Kaskade and Gorgon City dropped 'Go Slow' with vocals from ROMÉO.  I heard this back at Coachella and have been waiting for it.  This one leans way more Gorgon than Kaskade, though I like the collab regardless.
  • At this point, I think Claptone is looking to set a record for number of remix packs released for an album with Fantast Remixes, Pt 5.  Tender and Mihalis Safras turn up the heat on their remix of 'Stay The Night', while Sidney Charles brings the groove on his take of 'Wildside'.
  • Insomniac dropped a massive compilation ahead of EDC featuring both new and previously released tracks.  I only included one track from it, a remix of ZHU's 'Light it Up' from Holly that goes pretty hard.  I'm more interested in looking at this 33-track compilation as a barometer for what Insomniac thinks is hot right now.  Specifically, seeing names like Patrick Topping, Walker & Royce, Eli Brown, Mason Maynard in there makes me believe tech-house is truly emerging as a genre to be reckoned with stateside.
  • The last few tracks include some vibier stuff, with new ones from SG Lewis, Whethan, MEMBA & EVAN GIIA, Le Youth, and Medasin.

New month, all new playlist top to bottom.  As always, last month's playlist is still available in the archive.  Now onto this week's new music.  Really digging the tunes this week.

  • I kick it off with two new tracks from two of my absolute favorites acts at the moment.  First up is the latest from Polo & Pan, followed by the long-awaited return of PNAU.  Both these acts are fucking amazing, and I expect they'll each be making a big push on the US market this year.
  • Up next is a batch of house music from two big-name producers who are capitalizing on America's house resurgence.  Diplo dropped his 4 track house EP, teaming up with underground stalwarts Blond:ish on one particularly vibey track entitled 'Give Dem'.  A-Trak has also been on a house music tear, and his remix of Axwell's 'Nobody Else' continues the trend.  Dombresky and Hayden James also have new bangers that are heavy on the house.
  • Bobby Love.  Just discovered this guy, and his latest track 'Why' is a vibe.
  • Lane 8 and Tinlicker team up for some classic Anjuna feels on 'Anthractie', and Jerro dropped a new EP on Lane 8's This Never Happened imprint that is sure to please fans of the Anjuna sound.
  • The Midnight are back with another song drenched in 80's nostalgia and pan flutes, and I'm lovin it.
  • Things get a bit heavy with the latest out of Wolfgang Gartner.  I also need to give a shout out to LZRD and T-Mass on their latest single 'By My Side' featuring Sara Skinner.  This one's massive and comes just a week after their remix of Illenium's 'Pray' that's smashed TrapNation so far.  Good shit boys!
  • The last third of the playlist has a bit of everything, and its all good.
